CONNOR ABREU MS, CSCS

Owner, Adult Fitness Director

Connor Abreu founded Thunder N Lightning Performance in 2017. To date, he has worked personally trained and coached hundreds of athletes & adults from Central NJ & Pennsylvania. He previously worked under Eric Cressey at Cressey Sports Performance-Massachusetts in 2016; Eric is now the Director of Health & Performance for the New York Yankees. From 2014-2017, Connor was a collegiate strength & conditioning coach at both Seton Hall University & Montclair State University.  

 

Connor is also former collegiate baseball player (played 3 years at Montclair State University and 1 year at Wagner College), and is familiar with being a high level athlete and what it takes to get there. He is also an Exercise Science Professor at his alma- mater, Montclair State University, where obtained both a Masterʼs of Science & Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS).

SHAWN ALLEN ME, CSCS, PN L1

Director of Performance & Nutrition

Shawn Allen is currently the Director of Performance & Nutrition at Thunder N Lightning Performance. Shawn started as an athlete at TNL and then completed the TNL summer internship in 2020. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Shawn was a 4-year member of the Lynchburg University baseball team, where he graduated with a degree in Health and Physical Education, a minor in Coaching. Shawn is also a Certified Level 1 Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition.
